Changing your diet is not an easy task. Over the past 3 weeks, I've said goodbye to cheese, a good medium rare steak, and my favorite Dirty Buffalo Garlic Parmesan wings. I think I will miss them the most...
Three weeks ago, I watched the recently popular What the Health? on Netflix. If you haven't heard of this Netflix Original, this documentary takes you through the meat and medical controversial industry. Halfway through the film, I started a vegan grocery list without even blinking. I knew I wanted to make a change, and this was just the boost I needed.
It has not been easy, and it's not a perfect diet (I created my own version of a mostly vegan diet). In fact, it's more of a pecsatarian diet more than anything else. Because, come on-crab legs are life.
Even though Pinterest has been my eternal culinary savior during this tough transition, I have felt a variety of emotions with the change. But, because April Ludgate is the master of all things, I felt like she could show you just how the bad the struggle has really been...
When People Ask You Why You Made the Change
When People Try to Literally Put Meat in Your Face
When I see a new vegan recipe and the ingredients look questionable
My first week in, when I had a ridiculous amount of energy
When someone says they have a vegan treat for me
When I make something I found on Pinterest, and it's beautifully delicious
When people try and challenge my diet choices
Me trying to explain to my family what my diet is like
When I go to the grocery store, and they have jackfruit
When I've decided at the end of the day-there's always wine to make all my stress of the diet go away.
I hope you all did something fun this Sunday!
