Trying to figure out what to make for dinner tonight? Look no further! These smoky portabella steaks are exactly what needs to be added to your plate.
This simple (and likely evolving!) recipe gives you the same flavor of beef, but without the heavy feeling of meat. I guarantee you will love each bite, bursting with delicious flavor.
It's 100% vegan and 100% awesome.
Give it a try and I hope you do something fun this Sunday!
Ingredients
2 large portabella caps
1/4 cup vegan worchester sauce 3 tbsp. minced garlic 1/4 tsp. black smokehouse pepper 1/2 tsp. sea salt 1 tbsp. onion powder 2 1/2 tbsp. maple syrup Few drops of hot sauce
Directions
Rinse the portabella mushrooms and pat dry.
In a large ziplock bag, combine all the ingredients. Mix together well and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
Remove portabella caps from bags, allowing excess liquid to drip off.
Cook steaks on grill for a few minutes on each side.
Serve alone, on a burger with fixings, in pasta dishes, stir fry, or whatever else you want.
To reheat, place steaks on hot cast iron skillet for a few minutes on each side.
Enjoy!
