If you are a follower of my blog, then you know I haven't written for a while. Trust me, it does not come from a lack of wanting something (anything!) to write about. The truth is that my adventures started to dwindle, my life started to become squishy and complicated (like most people), and I found myself trying to figure out what was really important about my writing.
Sundays have always been a day for me to catch up. Catch up on my reading, binge TV show watching, and thoughts about what I'm making for dinner for the rest of the week. That is my favorite part of my week. The time in which I get to sit down and take a brain break, and decide what I'm going to cook. Looking forward to that time where I can assemble a creation and call it my own.
I looove to cook. It's free therapy, really. It allows me to go into a world in which I am in control of everything that occurs. I'm in control of what goes into the recipes, what additions I may add or change, and when it's all finished; I have produced this thing that can be consumed and enjoyed by everyone around me. In a world and a life of chaos, having some control in something is extremely rewarding.
Recently, you may have noticed my pictures go from outside adventures and explorations to shots of cutting boards and spiced hummus. That's what makes sense to me. And they say that you should write from what you know (whoever "they" is). I love to cook. Here's where I will share my cooking stories, recipes, etc. Join me on this new journey where I try new things, eat, cook, then eat some more!
Bon Appettit,
Tiana
